CBD and Sunburn
Posted by TWINE CBD on Jun 16th 2021
Finally! It’s summertime and with communities re-opening mask-free, people everywhere are outside soaking up as much sunshine as possible. Only problem is “as much sunshine as possible” often leads to painful, inflamed skin or sunburn. When many of us were kids, preventing sunburn existed only in the form of the nerdy white paste on the noses of lifeguards and noses/shoulders of those kids who were being raised by the not-yet-named “helicopter” parents. Remedies for relieving the painful, hot, inflamed skin, sometimes oozing with popped blisters were an afterthought. Remember the dreaded, freezing spray your mother forced upon you after that first day at the beach?
Oh! how times have changed and are a ‘changing! Thankfully scientific research has resulted in sophisticated sunscreen products that offer us safe ways to soak up the sun and avoid those painful, dangerous burns so many of us remember as kids.
Unfortunately, sunburns still occur. According to the Office of the Surgeon General, more than 1 out of every 3 Americans reports getting sunburned each year. (1) Good news according to the National Institutes of Health suggests that CBD may help alleviate the symptoms of skin conditions that include sunburn. (2)
CBD creams come in all shapes and sizes and its recommended you try a small amount before applying to large areas of your body. At TWINE CBD, we’re aware that it’s not just the CBD but also the other ingredients that may help soothe skin which is why we formulated our CBD creams with some of the best botanical ingredients Mother Nature has to offer like
•Soothing Aloe Vera
•Emollient Sunflower Seed Oil
•Moisturizing Argan Kernel Oil
•Soothing Rosemary Extract
•Nourishing Coconut Oil
and most importantly our 99% pure organic US-grown THC FREE CBD isolate from hemp. We suggest you always check out the ingredients in any product you apply to your skin.
Final observation here is GET OUTSIDE! AND SOAK UP THE SUN!
